After Vikram, another movie by Fahadh Faasil is all set to hit the theatres, Malayam Kunju. In one of the promotional interviews for Malayan Kunju, he said that his character in the film was initially written for actor Dhanush.
Fahadh Faasil received critical acclaim for his performance as Shammi. He took on the role of Shammi, a control freak husband who appears normal in the eyes of society. Shammi, the antagonist in the film, lacks the usual crookedness and cruelty of villain characters.
"In Kumbalangi Nights, my role was initially written for Dhanush. But at that point, we could not afford him in Malayalam cinema," said Fahadh who is also one of the producers of the film.
Madhu C Narayanan's directorial debut is 'Kumbalangi Nights.' The film's lead actors were Soubin Shahir, Shane Nigam, Anna Ben, and Fahadh Faasil. The film was produced by Nazriya Nazim, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran, and the screenplay was written by national award-winning scriptwriter Syam Pushkaran. Shyju Khalid shot the film, while Saiju Sreedharan edited it. The film received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
The audience is waiting for Fahadh Faasil's Malayalam film to hit the theatres after a long gap. The trailer for Malayankunju, which is being prepared as a survival thriller, received much notice. The film is being directed by debutant Sajimon and is produced by Fazil.
