Martin Scorsese reveals new facts about his upcoming film 'Killers of the Flower Moon'.

After delivering an incredibly successful film in the Irishman earlier last year Martin Scorsese has already set his eyes on directing a new film. Scorsese revealed that his next film had titled "Killers of the Flower Moon" and will star Robert De Niro alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.

Scorsese is easily one of the best contemporary directors that there is. He has directed a vast genre of films that include gangster pics, crime dramas, romance, animation, period pieces, biopics, mystery thrillers, and dark comedies. However, Killers of the Flower Moon brings Scorsese to direct his first Western film.

Talking to the Premiere Martin Scorsese said, "We think it’s a Western,” the filmmaker told Premiere. “It happened in 1921-1922 in Oklahoma. There are certainly cowboys, but they have cars and also horses. The film is mainly about the Osage, an Indian tribe that has a horrible territory, which they loved because they said to themselves that Whites would never get interested in it. Then we discovered oil there and, for about ten years, the Osage became the richest people in the world, per capita. Then, as with the Yukon and the Colorado mining regions, the vultures disembark, the White man, the European arrives, and all got lost. There, the underworld had such control over everything that you were more likely to go to jail for killing a dog than for killing an Indian."

Killers of the Flower Moon movie bases directly on a book written by David Grann. The book shares the same name as the film. The film is will get distributed by Paramount Pictures. Killers of the Flower Moon is expecting a 2021 release.
