Director Mari Selvaraj has started production on a new movie called Vaazhai after wrapping off the filming of his Maamannan, which stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, and Vadivelu. The movie, which started filming today, will be a kid's movie with a Tirunelveli and neighborhood setting.
"Vaazhai is a movie that revolves around children. I have cast newcomers to play the lead roles of the kids. Maamannan's post-production work is currently going on, and we will be releasing it next year after Udhayanidhi's other film Kannai Nambathey released. As for this film, we will be wrapping up the shoot within a month.". The director told a media house.
Karnan crew reunites for this film. Director has cast actors Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, Dhivya Duraisamy, and Priyanka in pivotal roles. The cinematography for the movie is by Theni Eswar. Santhosh Narayanan will compose the soundtrack.
"The Dhruv Vikram film will be my next project after Vaazhai. We will start shooting for it in May 2023." The sports drama will see Dhruv playing the role of a kabaddi player. The film will be produced by Pa Ranjith.
