Mammootty, SN Swamy, and K Madhu team up for the dubbed Tamil version of CBI 5's television premiere. The movie can be seen on Sunday, November 13 at 1 p.m. on the Zee Tamil channel. CBI 5 was Mammootty's second theatrical release this year, after Bhishma Parvam. The film received huge pre-release hype as the fifth instalment of the popular movie franchise. The release was on May 1.
But after its release, the film received mixed reviews on social media. Director K Madhu's response was that there was deliberate negative publicity. He also responded that the film was a success. Meanwhile, the film performed well at the box office. The film collected Rs. 17 crore from overseas markets alone in the first nine days. This is a good collection for a Malayalam film.
