Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi hogged the limelight last week after his video with a YouTube channel went viral. He lashed out at the anchor of the YouTube channel. The journalist gave a complaint to the Marudu police. When he appeared at the police station, he was arrested by the cops. Later, he was let out on bail. Sreenath Bhasi then appeared in front of the Kerala film body association were discussed his behavior. After Sreenath accepted his mistake, he was temporarily banned by Kerala Film Producers' Association (KFPA). He was allowed to complete his already signed projects and was asked not to take up new projects.

 
Recently, Mammootty was promoting his upcoming film, Rorschach, in Doha, Qatar. During the media interaction, Mammootty was asked about Sreenath Bhasi's ban. He said, "Nobody should be banned. Preventing someone from work is wrong. As far as I know, there is no ban (on Bhasi) now." He further added that no one should be denied their livelihood. The Kerala Producers' Association hasn't announced lifting the ban on Sreenath Bhasi.
