Prime Video Original Movie Ammu, produced by Stone Bench and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi dubs beginning October 19 across 240+ countries and territories.
Ammu is part of OTT's festive lineup for the Great Indian Festival 2022, which begins on September 23rd. In addition to various more original series and blockbuster movies in multiple languages, the lineup features appealing "Diwali Special Discounts" from partners via Prime Video Channels.
The film’s plot revolves around Ammu, who imagines marriage as a fairytale full of love and enchantment. Everything changed when her cop-husband, Ravi (Naveen Chandra), slapped her for the first time. What Ammu thought was a one-time occurrence turned out to be a never-ending cycle of abuse that trapped her and broke her soul and spirit. Ammu, pushed to her breaking point, hooks up with an unusual ally (Simha) to break out.
