Actor R. Madhavan has donned the director's hat for the first time for his upcoming film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The shooting of this film has got wrapped up and currently, the postproduction works are going on. Maddy teamed up with singer Mary Chandler Hicks to sing one of the songs in the film. Sam CS of Vikram Vedha and Kaithi fame, is composing the music for this film.
Mary has recorded the song and we hear that it came out well. She later got clicked alongside Madhavan for a picture, which is now doing rounds on the internet.
Initially, when it got launched, Ananth Mahadevan was the director of this film. Later, he walked out of the project due to creative differences. Then, Madhavan took over the film and added the directorial responsibilities upon himself. Thus, it became his maiden directorial venture.
Rocketry features Simran as the female lead. It is the story of popular scientist Nambi Narayanan who is best known for his Nambi Effect. Nambi was falsely charged with espionage and got arrested in 1994. Later, in 1996, CBI removed all the charges on him and he got declared as not guilty for any crime. Rocketry will hit the screens in the second half of this year. It will have a simultaneous release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English.
