Lauren Gottlieb was one of the major names among the up-and-coming actors in Bollywood after the release of her movies ABCD and ABCD 2. It came as a surprise for the industry in general when she decided to leave Bollywood and go back to the USA to be with her family and friends. At last, she has revealed the reasons behind dropping her bright Bollywood future.
In a candid conversation with Maniesh Paul Lauren revealed that her motivations to leave Bollywood were due to an out-of-body experience she had while sleeping alone one night.
"All of a sudden I see something. My mom was in labor. Everything was fine. The doctor left the room. Suddenly all the alarms go off. The doctor runs back in, looks at my mom with the fear of God in his eyes, and says you need to push now. Inside the womb, the umbilical cord was wrapped around my throat, and I was suffocating. And it was either me who was going to die or my mom, who was going to die. But neither of us did. The only thing that happened when I came out as I broke my nose." Eerie enough, the same thing was happening to Lauren, many years later. She recalled further, "All of a sudden I see the womb. And I realize this is how I was brought into this world. I'm re-experiencing my birth."
After this experience, Lauren considers herself reborn and decided to move back to America to spend time with her family and friends.
