Lara and Daniel movies come up with beautiful message

The film Lara is about Lara who faces her unrealized dreams and ambitions on her 60th birthday. The characterization of Lara is so complex; a better screenplay could have made it an intense flick. The message is strong, "To do anything in life one should ignore criticism and humiliation". The narration is uneven. The take-off is very slow. The performances are good. Corinne Harfouch is powerful as a jealous mother of his own son's success. The narration is also a bit complex as one can derive their own conclusion. The restlessness of the mother got portrayed well but the initial scenes are a bit boring.

Daniel movie tells the story of a Danish photographer who gets captured by ISIS in Syria. This civilian War movie is emotional at times. Raven Ames Jensen as photographer Daniel is good. All the performances are dent enough. Cinematography is adequate. The screenplay is okay, could have been better. The script has concentrated on how ISIS works and how they take innocents into custody and demand ransom. The torture scenes were a little brutal. The bond between hostages got portrayed well. The emotional attachment with fellow hostages and the trauma they go through looked realistic. The penultimate scenes appeared a bit dragged. The duration could have been crisp. War movie lovers surely get connected to the theme.
