Koratala Siva gives no clarity on Megastar Chiranjeevi's Acharya release date; Postponement rumors pick the pace

Acharya is one of the upcoming films in the Telugu film industry. Touted to be a socio-political drama, the movie features Megastar Chiranjeevi playing a lead role. Chiranjeevi is going to be seen as an ex-Naxal in the movie. From time to time, Chiranjeevi is spilling the beans about the film and the fans are very happy to know these updates. Yesterday, Koratala Siva gave an interview to one of the popular websites in Telugu entertainment space. Talking to them, Koratala admitted the fact that 40 percent of the film's shoot is wrapped up. Koratala Siva revealed that he would have finished the movie by now if the lockdown is not announced. However, the director did not give any clarity on the release date of the movie.

Interestingly, Koratala Siva is now busy with the work of other scripts and ideas he had in mind. Koratala is ready to resume the shoot for Acharya once the lockdown gets lifted. On the other side, Koratala Siva is clueless about the release date of the movie. Since the impact of lockdown on the movie industry is high, there is no clarity on when things get back to normalcy. There is a rumor in the movie industry that the film's release might get pushed to next year. Although it looks impossible on paper, with a lot of pending movies getting postponed, every other film also gets pushed. So, Acharya will also have to be pushed to next year. However, it is mere speculation and we have to wait for the film to get resumed again!
