For the first time after he got stuck in the public outrage for the comments on women in Koffee With Karan, KL Rakul opens up that he is now feeling more humbled and responsible.
In the wake of public outrage on the sexist comments they made, both KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya have imposed a short-term ban with an enquiry which is still pending. The players are now back with their national team on the field. Rahul has even scored a half-century in one of his recent matches.
In an interaction with the press, the 26-year-old batsman confronted that he endured through a hard time after the controversy. "Everyone has difficult times in their professional and personal lives and it was my time to go through it,” he added. Rahul also described himself as a person who accepts the things as they come.
“Every kid who aspires to be a cricketer dreams to play for his country. I am no different from that. The controversy has humbled me and now I respect the opportunity I have got to represent my country. I am making opportunities count and will continue working on my game. This is actually a blessing in disguise,” said Rahul.
Though India lost the short series with 0-2, it has helped Rahul in making a successful come back. He gave the credits to Rahul Dravid who helped him in getting through.
