Kevin Conway, who has starred in films like Funny Farm, Gods and General, and Invincible has died at 77. Conway's manager reported that the actor has died on Wednesday.
The actor who is natively from New York began his acting career at the young age of 24. The actor started working at Broadway plays like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Elephant Man. Conway also starred in Slaughterhouse-Five where he got his first major role.
Conway's cinematic career covered roles like Crum Petree in 1988's Funny Farm, Frank Papale in Disney's 2006 Invincible and General Curtis LeMay in 2000s Thirteen Days. Conway is still known best for his work in Gettysburg. The actor died of a heart attack at his home on Wednesday and the funeral ceremony will soon hold by Conway's family.
In one of the most famous interviews of his life, Conway explained his reaction to playing the roles he has. He said, "I'm very lucky in that I don’t have to take every part that comes along," Conway explained. "This one was for a pilot and I really didn’t want to do it. I didn't want to lock myself in. I'm really looking to do some theater. That's what I like to do. In the short run, no two year shows anymore. If I could find a show here in New York and get those muscles going again, that would be great. And hopefully, a big movie somewhere in Paris or Morocco or someplace else I've never been."
