A release date has reportedly been chosen by the producers as well.

The release date for Freddy is December 2, 2022. The crew has decided that this date will be appropriate for releasing the movie to the public after much deliberation. A person with knowledge of the project revealed that an official release date announcement will be made soon. Along with the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actress, Alaya F plays the lead in Freddy. In addition to Freddy, Kartik Aaryan has upcoming roles in Shehzada by Rohit Dhawan, Next by Sameer Vidwan, and Next by filmmaker Kabir Khan.

Kartik Aaryan had to add 12 to 14 kg for director Ekta Kapoor's Freddy, and celebrity trainer Samir Jaura talked about working with the actor in an interview. “Transformations aren’t just limited to shredding or getting ripped, sometimes it also involves putting on kilos and fat but doing it in a very supervised and safe manner. Kartik was able to gain 14 kilos to achieve this look with disciplined, tailor-made workouts and the right diet. His dedication is incredible because he is genetically lean so to gain the weight in that particular time frame for his role is truly commendable. In fact, he has already started losing weight from his Freddy look to get ready for his next film,” Jaura had said.
