Kartik Aaryan has recently gained attention after revealing that he will be in Aashiqui 3. Anurag Basu will helm the third entry in the popular Aashiqui series. T-Series and Vishesh Films are reportedly funding it. The name of the female lead actress is still a mystery. Mahesh Bhatt was the director of Aashiqui (1990). The lead actors were Anu Aggarwal and Rahul Roy. Aashiqui 2, which was helmed by Mohit Suri and starred Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. It was in 2013 that brought the franchise back to life.
The actor from Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 has since posted the first image from Aashiqui 3 on his social media accounts. Kartik captioned it: "Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum. Karthik said “The timeless classic ‘Aashiqui’ is something I grew up watching and working on ‘Aashiqui 3’ is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful for collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”
Besides, Kartik will then appear in Kriti Sanon and Rohit Dhawan's Shehzada. It is set to hit theatres on February 10, 2023.
