Ever since fans saw Kartik Aaryan and Deepika Padukone dancing to the song Dheeme Dheeme at the airport, fans demanded that the two actors co-star in a film. Recently, news confirmed that Kartik got an offer to play Krishna and Deepika to play Radha. This will be Imtiaz Ali’s next project.

He also added that his journey of working in Love Aaj Kal was fun. He admitted that he would like to make another whole movie with Imtiaz Ali again.
The film Radha Krishna was in plans since 2018. Director Imtiaz Ali planned to make the movie wherein he could commemorate the love story of Radha and Lord Krishna. Reportedly the film's writer, director, and co-producer will be Imtiaz Ali. Imtiaz Ali also spoke to a news portal where he expressed that the story of Radha-Krishna always fascinated him. He also added that the love story of Radha Krishna is like no other story and can turn it into an epic film. Then he added that making this film is his dream.
