The reason behind Karthik's departure from directing the film is not clear. The name of the film is 'Neenu Meeku Bhaga Kavalsina Vaadini'. Kiran Abbavaram is playing the lead role in the film. The film is produced by Kodi Divya, the daughter of Telugu director Kodi Ramakrishna.
The film's pooja ceremonies were held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. A picture of Karthik Shankar wearing a director's hat was released after the pooja. But after the filming was completed, the name of Sridhar Gathe came up as the director.
The film's music was composed by Mani Sharma. According to reports, the film will be released on September 9.
