Karthick Naren's Mafia opens well in Chennai; collects 43 lakhs on day one

Dhruvangal Pathinaru fame Karthick Naren came back with his second film after a gap of four years. Titled as Mafia Chapter:1, this film has hit the screens worldwide the other day. Continuing the form of his first film, Karthick Naren scored another success with this narcotics thriller. Mafia opened well at the box office and collected a gross of Rs. 43 lakhs on the first day in Chennai city itself.

Mafia features Arun Vijay and Prasanna as the leads. While Arun Vijay played the role of a police officer, Prasanna essayed the character of a drug lord. Mafia is a thriller packed with a lot of twists and turns that take place in the chase between the two main leads. The viewers are loving how Karthick narrated the whole story and appreciating the young man's work. Trade Pundits are predicting that it will be the winner among Tamil films this weekend as there are no other big releases. They also stated that Mafia might do well in the coming days as well and become a hit at the box office. Thus, Karthick Naren has managed to score another success in his career. He once said that there will be a sequel for Mafia if it does will it the theatres. Going by its performance looks like we might get a franchise for this film in the future.
