While the whole B-Town is shocked by the death of Irrfan Khan, passing away of Rishi Kapoor has shattered everyone. It was hard for everyone to digest the expiration of iconic actors of Hindi cinema. It is so disturbing to the nation, even PM Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences.
While the news is hard on everyone, it hit heavy on Kapoor's family. Ridhima Kapoor Jain daughter of Rishi Kapoor couldn't make it to the funeral. Stars like Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor could only take up their social handles to express their sorrow, as they couldn't be there in person. Amongst these, Kareena Kapoor took up her Instagram account and shared a memory of Rishi Kapoor. She posted a childhood picture of Rishi Kapoor with her dad & Rishi Kapoor's brother Randhir Kapoor and quoted "The best boys I know... Papa and Chintu uncle " It is understandable that she speaks on behalf of her father and it is also reported that Randhir Kapoor had a breakdown after hearing the news of his favorite brother's demise.
Rishi Kapoor has been battling cancer for several years and had a successful treatment after his film '102 Not Out' too. After the treatment, he went to make films and was actively spotted on various occasions and family gatherings. His last film is 'Sharmaji Namkeen' which is still under production. He was cast along veteran actress Juhi Chawla and it directed by Hitesh Bhatia. Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment is backing the film.
