One of the ace producer-filmmakers in the country is Karan Johar. From directing blockbusters and producing various kinds of films under his production house Dharma Productions, Karan provided a large content for entertainment arena. Recognizing his work towards the films, CNBC has honored him with the award 'Iconic Entertainment Leader of the Decade.' Upon receiving the award, Karan said that he feels blessed to get this honor.
Karan received the award from the hand of Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Upon receiving the award, he said, "It's been a glorious decade. I always say that I'm in a blessed profession. Where else can you sing, dance, laugh and cry and still be at work. So I feel blessed to do what I do and I have to thank everyone who made it possible for me at the Dharma Productions. We have a large creative team and there are so many forces within the company that has made this happen. I just feel very blessed and I just want to continue telling stories, providing content and entertainment to the country."
Karan has recently produced the film Bhoot. He is currently working on his directorial film Takht. Featuring Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
