Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar has passed away. He was forty-six years old. Puneeth died following a heart attack. Fans had gathered at the hospital premises in Bengaluru from the morning. This is after learning that Puneeth Rajkumar had been admitted to the hospital. He suffered a heart attack while exercising in the gym on Friday morning.
Popular actors like Yash, Darshan, and many others reached the hospital as soon as they heard about the news. Karnataka C M Basavaraj Bommai reached the hospital as well.
His untimely demise comes as he continues to be one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. Puneet Rajkumar is the son of the famous actor Rajkumar. He entered the film industry as a child actor. Puneet won the National Award for Best Child Actor for his role as Appu in Bettada Hoo.
Popularly known as the Powerstar, Puneeth Rajkumar was undeniably one of the best hero’s of Kannada. Puneeth had recently wrapped up the shoot for the film 'James'. He was all set to start working on the new project 'Dvitva' as well. His recent release was the film ‘Yuvarathnaa’.
