Kamala: Ranjith Sankar and Aju Varghese team up for a thriller

Director Ranjith has announced that he will be joining hands with Aju Varghese for a thriller film next. It has been titled as ‘Kamala’ and an intriguing title poster was released just a while back. Apparently, it’s a project that Ranjith Sankar had been planning for long but could not find the apt actor to play the lead character. He finally zeroed in on Aju Varughese, who is often associated with comedy sidekick roles.

Along with sharing the poster, Ranjith Sankar has written,

KAMALA is a thriller I am attempting after Passenger and Arjunan Sakshi.

I wrote this script and thought of all existing heroes in it. He was so basic yet diverse that none was fitting in . It was sad to put this aside and move on to other stories.

Then one fine morning I thought of him. And realized it was a script written for him.
