Vasanthi, who has been in the dance industry for 30 years, plays Tina in the film Vikram. In an interview, Vasanthi shared her experiences while filming fight scenes in Vikram.
“After shooting all the fights we were shown an edited rough cut. After seeing that, Kamal Sir came closer and said that you have done well. I shook his hand and thanked him. I was out of the world for five seconds. I went home and kept saying that he had congratulated me.
My first shot was to lift Kamal sir and put him to bed. I was burning in that scene. It must come in the correct form. Because Kamal sir is a legend. I still cannot believe, it's a dream.
I was beaten up by everyone who appeared in the scene and told them that it is my first time and begged to adjust. During the fight, I could not hold his fork in my hand and tie my hair. But the director kept telling me to do it anyway. Then I got excited too. I did it somehow;” said Vasanthi.
Vasanthi has presented some of the best action scenes ever played by a woman through Tina. The highlight of the fight was the attack with spoons and forks.
Meanwhile, Vikram continues to make strides at the box office. Within two days of his release, Vikram had reached the 100 crore club. On the first day alone, Vikram earned Rs 34 crore. It was reported that the film had sold more than Rs 200 crore in the sale of satellite rights.
The film stars Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahad Fazil in Major roles. Within hours of the release of the trailer, it reached number one on the YouTube trending list. Apart from Kamal Haasan, Narain and Chemban Vinod are the other important roles. However, Fahadh and Sethupathi have strong characters alongside Kamal Haasan.
Anirudh Ravichandran has composed the music for the film. Ratnakumar and Lokesh Kanakaraj have penned the script for the film.
