Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' Is The Highest Grossing Tamil Movie Of All Time

The most popular Tamil film ever, Vikram, just ended its illustrious reign at the box office, yet an update was necessary. An astounding $432.50 million was made by the action film, which was directed by Lokesh Kangaraj and starred Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Fassil, and Vijay Sethupathi, with $307.60 million coming from India.

The movie took off like a freight train in early June and over the next few weeks, broke almost all of the prior Kollywood records. The largest achievement among the many others was outpacing Baahubali 2 by a significant amount—roughly Rs. 40 crores—to become the film with the highest gross in Tamil Nadu history.
