Kamal Haasan Remembers His Unfinished Film Marudhunayagam In Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5

Kamal Haasan has been busy hosting Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 for the past two weeks. Apart from interacting with the contestants, Kamal Haasan also reveals some interesting anecdotes from his life and some of his films. During the Sunday (October 17) episode of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5, Kamal Haasan remembered his unfinished film Marudhunayagam and the reason behind making the film. He spoke about the backstory behind him making a film on Marudhunayagam. Since last year, Kamal Haasan cultivated the habit of recommending Tamil and English books to the viewers to encourage the habit of reading.

On October 17, he recommended a book written by writer Vanamamalai. He said, "The name of the book is Thamizhar Naatupaaddalgal. In my film Thevar Magan, the iconic song Inji Iduppazhagi has a line that says Marakka Manam Kooduthillaye. It was my favorite line from the book. Poet and songwriter Vaali read it to me and also incorporated it into the song. . When I decided to make a commercial film, I came across the song Kansakipu Sandai. If we can talk, read and learn about the man, it is purely because of the song. The protagonist in the song is Mohanmmadh Yousuf Khan alias Marudhunagam."
