Kaithi To Get Remade In Bollywood: Ajay Devgn’s Fourth Directorial Venture

On Monday, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn announced that he would be directing his fourth film after U, Me Aur Hum, Shivaay, and Runway 34. The movie, titled Bholaa, will feature Ajay Devgn himself along with Tabu. As per the announcement, the film, which is said to be a "high-octane, strongly-emotional drama," is in the production stage and will wrap up the shoot by August this year. Bholaa will probably have a theatrical release by March 2023.

Bholaa is the remake of the Tamil blockbuster Kaithi, which featured Karthi in the lead. The 2019 action thriller was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is about a prisoner who helps the police when they are attacked by a gang of smugglers. Narain played the role of the police officer in the movie. When asked about his frequent directorial ventures, the star replied, "Well, the preparation was done earlier on. It was just a question of getting behind the camera again and saying the three magic words: "Lights, camera, action!" The 53-year-old actor shared an image of himself behind the camera on Twitter and revealed the film’s release date. The tweet read,

With the drama U Me Aur Hum, Ajay made his directorial debut in 2008. He then went on to direct the action films Shivaay (2016) and Runway 34 (2016), an exciting thriller that was released in April. He is currently shooting Bholaa in Hyderabad.
