A mass movie starring Prithviraj is all set to release after a few years. The film ‘Kaduva’ will feature Prithviraj in the lead role. Vivek Oberoi will play the villain in the movie starring Prithviraj in the lead role. Shaji Kailas directs the film Kaduva.
Prithviraj has now responded to a fan's question as to whether Kaduva is a mass film fan who could celebrate. Prithviraj's response came during Netflix's Twitter space discussion.
“Mass action movies are a genre that I've been deliberately avoiding for a while. Jinu Abraham, the screenwriter of Tiger, is my friend who knows that I do not do such movies now. When Jinu first came to read this story to me, he told me that it was such. I heard this and he said that it would not be a problem if I did not want to do this. But when I read the script, I liked it. Not only did I like it but I thought it should be done. I heard this story in 2019. I thought it would be nice if this movie was directed by Shaji Kailas. So I called Shaji Chettan and told him to listen to the story. Kaduva is a mass action entertainer and expects nothing more than that. Cinema is not beyond that;” Prithviraj said.
The movie Kaduva will release in theaters on June 30. “#KADUVA In theatres worldwide from 30th June 2022!” wrote Prithviraj on Twitter.
The shooting of the film was completed after overcoming many difficulties. Makers encountered several obstacles during the filming, including the High Court stay. The High Court had stayed the shooting of the film on a petition filed by 'Kuruvinalkunnil Kuruvachan'. He stated that the film would cause him mental distress. The story of the film is based on the events of his life.
Sai Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, Samyuktha Menon, and Priyanka will play the other roles.
