The makers of DC's superhero film Justice League have finally answered the prayers of their fans who've been asking for the release of the Snyder-cut version of the film. Yes, you read that right. On Wednesday, the director Zack Snyder revealed that they are all set to release the version and it will come out in 2021. The movie stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Snyder said to the Hollywood Reporter about his new version. as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
In the live Q/A session, Zack said, "It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie. With the new platform and streaming services, you can have something like this. You can’t release something like this theatrically, but you could with a streaming service. It’s an opportunity that wasn’t there two years ago, to be honest."
It all started when the director had to attend to a family emergency and couldn't complete his version of the film. After the film was released in 2017, fans were disappointed and wanted the makers to release the Snyder- cut version of the film which was apparently more dark and crisp.
After Zack stepped down, the makers had roped in Joss Whedon, who's known for essaying Avengers. The movie went on to perform moderately at the box office.
