Actor John Abraham has discussed Shah Rukh Khan since news of his argument with his Pathaan co-star broke. John provided some answers in a video that Yash Raj Films posted on Thursday in advance of the release of Pathaan. In the conversation, John expressed his desire to see Shah Rukh on the big screen along with the rest of the country.
On January 25, Siddharth Anand's film Pathaan will be released. Shah Rukh Khan plays a soldier in the movie who defeats a terrorist organization led by John in order to save India. Deepika Padukone is also a part of it.
In a recent YouTube video, John was questioned about Shah Rukh's return to the big screen after four years. John responded, “I don’t think just the entire nation has missed him. I think the entire world wants to see Shah Rukh Khan on screen, including myself. I think he more than delivers the goods because he is fantastic in this film.”
Prior to this, John had sent a letter discussing the response to the Pathaan trailer without mentioning his co-star. It said, "In my years in cinema, this moment, right here... right now, is a special one. It's amazing that you have showered so much love on the trailer of Pathaan. A lot of hard work has been put into making this one. It's a biggie. Adi has always given me some of my best roles & I can't wait for you to see what Siddharth Anand has done with me and the film!"
It all started with numerous stories claiming that John and Shah Rukh's relationship was in trouble. According to rumors, Shah Rukh and John had a falling out over the final version of Pathaan. John's video from an occasion where he casually sidestepped a question about Shah Rukh's body in Pathaan helped spread the rumors.
Shah Rukh recently complimented John as a "gentle giant" in a discussion that YRF shared. “I met him many times when he was doing a film or we wanted to do a film together and this happened by chance. I was very keen he does it and he was kind enough to do a role where he is really a bad guy. He is a top star. He has his own franchises happening and he has got these really cool action films happening. And to decide to take on a film where he is a bad guy, you know, so takes a lot of guts.”
