Unlike other big franchises such as Marvel, Star Wars seems to have stopped caring for hiding any secrets. Before its next film, The Rise of Skywalker drops fans have already guessed most of the plot. The filmmakers themselves haven't done much to dissolve these theories.
Going a step further, JJ Abrams one of the main minds behind the recent Star War films has said that he sees no need to keep secrets. Earlier Abrams was really protective of The Force Awakens. But it seems like in a plot to regain its fan following, Abrams is taking a different route this time.
While talking to Uproxx in a recent interview Abrams said, "I do feel about this movie because it is the end of something everyone knows — I don't want to be coy. I feel very confident about what the movie is. And I feel like we've found a way to do something that doesn't need — and I don't feel the need — to do smoke and mirrors at all on this."
