Sony has finally released the first look at its new and gritty superhero film. Featuring Jared Leto in the lead role the film titled Morbius and tells the story of an award-winning scientist who turns into a half-vampire while trying to find a cure for his rare blood disease.
This is Leto's second attempt at playing a supervillain for a big comic book role. His first attempt in Suicide Squad was a disastrous failure. The trailer for Morbius shows Dr. Micheal Morbius in his journey from being a respected and famous doctor to being a vicious blood sucking predator. The trailer also introduces the fans to some of his superpowers which include super strength, stamina and even some flight.
The trailer is confusing in various stills as Sony seems to be forcefully trying to find its footing in the current Spider-Man film lineup. The trailer ends with Morbius meeting the Vulture from Spider-Man Homecoming. Further suggesting a team up against the superhero at some point in the future.
