'Jana Gana Mana' is a film that presents the contemporary, political and social context of the country through a different perspective. The movie, which hit theaters on April 28, started streaming on Netflix on June 2. Jana Gana Mana has already garnered rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.
The second part of the film has been already announced. But the makers did not say the name of the film or whether the film would come out. But now the film's screenwriter Sharis Mohammed has come up with an answer to the question of when the second part of the film will be released.
Sharis Mohammed made this clear in an interview with Media One. “The name itself is Jana Gana Mana Part 2. The story is fixed. The whole story was told to Prithviraj when the first part was told.
The entire script is not written. It is up to Dijo and the producers to decide if that is the next film. When they come to a decision, their work begins.
Jana Gana Mana 2 is a movie that needs to be done on a slightly bigger canvas. It will not be a pan Indian film, rather an Indian film. Janaganamana 2 will be a film that gets an Indian feel. We have to wait and see whether it is a prequel or a sequel;” said Sharis.
The film Jana Gana Mana grossed Rs 50 crore in 26 days. Supriya Menon under the banner of Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames produced the film.
