“The Good Place” actress has got involved in an online feud with Morgan for days now. This happened after Piers Morgan jumped onto the Jamil hate-wagon.
It all started when Jamil faced criticism for choosing to MC for a voguing competition. After facing criticism, the actress came out as queer. Many people questioned her truth. And then, a viral tweet suggested that Jamil was suffering from Munchausen’s syndrome. It is a mental condition that makes people fake illnesses. This resulted in her explaining her medical history at length.
Among the conditions Jamil clarified, there was the severe nut allergy she spoke of in the past. After critics pointed out that she had recently posted a picture of herself with a peanut butter pretzel, Jamil said that her allergy “cleared up” as she grew older. This is where Piers Morgan entered. Morgan said that this was “a miracle”. “So happy for you,” he tweeted on February 13.
“Hope your other 1,345 virtue-signalling victimhood-craving ailments make similarly miraculous recoveries.” Jamil replied to him saying: “There is no cure for you being a pointless, boring, misogynist p***k sadly.”
The brawl continued over the weekend. At one point Jamil said: “I will be remembered one day for being the annoying woman who changed global policies and worked in-laws to protect/destigmatise the mental health of our youth”.
Speaking about Morgan, she added: “You will be remembered as the annoying rent-a-gob and celebrity stalker who was on literally EVERY wrong side of history.” Morgan replied: “You won’t be remembered at all”.
Following this, Jamil announced that she decided to block Morgan. “He’s using his platform ONLY to perpetuate the hateful emotional violence that leads to the nervous breakdown of young, vulnerable people,” she tweeted.
“In and out of the spotlight. I expose his name to a new young audience when I tweet him, which endangers them.” She then went on to make her Twitter account private.
