Jacqueline Fernandez Arrives At A Delhi Court For Bail Hearing In Case Involving Alleged Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar

On Thursday morning, Jacqueline Fernandez was photographed arriving at Delhi's Patiala House Court. The court is scheduled to hear arguments on the actress's bail plea today. The trial court had granted the actress interim relief on a bail bond of Rs 50,000 until November 10.

Since her name appeared in the Rs 200-crore money extortion case connected to suspected conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, Jacqueline Fernandez has been questioned multiple times by the Enforcement Directorate and the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Several personal photos of Jacqueline and Sukesh were also leaked online. Jacqueline Fernandez was identified as an accused in a charge sheet issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar a few months ago. According to the investigative agency, the actress was aware of the conman's extortion operation and allegedly assisted him in transferring 'proceeds of crime.' Jacqueline confirmed her relationship with the suspected conman in her plea. According to ANI, her plea read, “Jacqueline is another victim of the criminal acts committed by the main accused and his associates, who consistently lied about his real identity and exercised undue influence over the applicant's personal and professional life either by showering her (and her family) with expensive gifts or claiming that he had done so I would do so, without ever mentioning their source.” Jacqueline's lawyer Prashant Patil stated, “ my client is innocent and she shall fight for her dignity by following the due process of law."
