Manushi Chhillar was one of the 2022 debutantes who earned a name for themselves in the Bollywood industry. She portrayed the female protagonist in Samrat Prithviraj, a historical drama by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi for Yash Raj Films. She portrayed Sanyogita, the wife of Akshay Kumar's character Prithviraj Chauhan, who is the movie's main character.
Manushi, who also received the role of Tehran opposite John Abraham, finished filming the movie. She also had another role alongside Vicky Kaushal in a movie directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and again made by Yash Raj Films. There are rumours that she will star in another major motion picture as well.
Samrat Prithviraj didn't work at the box office. However, Manushi hasn't let anything cloud her enthusiasm for her debut. She remarked in a statement that “2022 has been a very special year for me because my debut film Samrat Prithviraj released”. She added, “Being someone who is not connected to the film industry and then seeing yourself and having your family see you on the big screen for the very first time is a special experience. I think that was the highlight of the year. I did finish shooting another movie.”
“As the year is ending, now that I am looking back at everything that I was able to do in 2022, I am only feeling happy and content of how the year was and only have gratitude. In totality, it was a great year and I’m content. I only hope that 2023 is bigger and better. I am only excited for what’s to come next”, Manushi continued, reflecting on the general kind of year she had.
