Is Prabhas's Adipurush Poster Copied? Animation Studio Alleges Plagiarism

Director Om Raut's Adipurush is a 3D film based on the Indian epic, Ramayana. The film features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Sunny Singh in lead roles. The film is gearing up for a grand release in the theatres on January 12, 2023. Recently, the teaser of Adipurush was unveiled on October 2 in a grand event. Soon after the teaser was released in 2D, netizens trolled the promo stating that the VFX and animation look cartoonish. Now, an animation studio called Vaanar Sena Studios took to Instagram and alleged that the poster of Adipurush featuring Prabhas has been copied from their work. #BoycottAdipurush and #BanAdipurush were trending on all social media platforms.

The animation studio shared a note saying, “It’s disappointing to see our work being copied like this. But over the years, it’s happened so many times that it’s just funny at this point. We don’t see the point of fighting this as we’d rather focus on bringing you guys awesome content and continue building that road. But maybe…just maybe, the word will spread :) (sic)” The makers of Adipurush haven't responded to the allegations yet.
