With the news of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's pregnancy this month, we were all left speechless and in amazement. The couple was seen in the sweet message announcing the birth of their first child together. It goes without saying that both Alia and Ranbir are having a big year. The duo will share screen time in Brahmastra for the first time ever in addition to getting married and becoming parents for the first time.
Now, Ranbir Kapoor revealed in a recent interview with Hindustan Times that he will soon take on the role of a parent. Ranbir responded when asked about the year that changed his life: "There is no feeling like this and I really don’t know how to explain. Honestly, I’ve been thinking about the correct answer because I know I’ll be being asked these questions a lot and I really don’t know how to summarise it. But it’s like telling somebody what water feels like before you have ever even swam in it. So, I’m just terrified, excited, and jubilant. We are dreaming about the future and all of that. It’s just a great feeling."
Ranbir also added his response to Alia's pregnancy announcement, Ranbir said, "It was something that Alia and I had been speaking about for a long time that we want lots of children in our life. We feel blessed and grateful. It’s a mix of a lot of emotions. I’m just extremely grateful at this point in our lives."
The actor is currently engaged in marketing his new movie Shamshera, which opens in theatres on July 22, 2022.
