Actors Bhavana and Shiva Rajkumar are all set to release their new Kannada film Bhajarangi 2. The movie will hit theaters on October 29. Bhavana, who plays the character of Chinminiki in the film says that she will not act in Malayalam films for a while.
In an interview with OTT Play in connection with the release of the film, Bhavana spoke about staying away from Malayalam cinema. Bhavana added that at present the decision is to make films in Kannada.
Bhavana has been active in Kannada cinema for the last few years. Bhavana says that she is consciously staying away from Malayalam cinema. “I decided that I will not do Malayalam movies for a while. It is also for my peace of mind. At present, it has been decided to make films exclusively in Kannada. Bhajarangi 2 is the latest Kannada movie to be released. Currently, no new movies have been committed;” said Bhavana.
Bhavana also commented that Chinminiki is very different from the characters she has done in Kannada so far. “Chinminiki is very different from the characters I’ve done so far. I have done very bold characters in other languages. But I have always done gentle female characters in Kannada. Chinminiki is not only bold, but a rowdy character with a sense of humor;” Bhavana added.
Bhavana's last Malayalam film was Adam John released in 2017. After that, she acted in Kannada films Tagore, 99, and Inspector Vikram.
