Malayalee's favourite actress, Shobana, made her debut as a heroine in Balachandra Menon's April 18. Shobana, who is also a great dancer, is now focusing more on dancing than acting. The unmarried actress is not the one to like questions about her personal life in interviews. However, the actress says that no matter how much such things are prevented, people will ask.
"Before entering the interview, I told them not to ask questions about my personal life, but again they asked questions like why I was not married. And then they say something about people not reading. We don't have to tell them that. But then I will say something. I also want some entertainment," says Shobana. Sobana added that, as it seems, in each interview, different things are said.
Shobana is the niece of Lalitha, Padmini, and Ragini, known as the Travancore sisters. She has won the Padma Shri Award and the National Award for acting three times. Shobana entered the film industry in Tamil cinema in 1980. Shobana was last seen in the film Varane Avashyamund. Shobana played the lead role alongside Suresh Gopi in the film. She received much appreciation for her role in the film. This was her film after a hiatus of seven years. Shobana acted in the film Thira before that. The film, which released in 2013, was one of the best films in Shobana’s career.
Shobana has now taken a break from acting. She is currently busy with dance programmes.
