'I Am A Huge Fan Of Malayalam Cinema And I Would Like To Work With Fahadh Faasil', Ayushmann Khurrana Reveals His Love For The South Indian Film Industry

By portraying unusual stories on screen, Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has carved out a name for himself throughout the years. The man still wishes a lot to learn, though. He recently stated that he is eager to appear in Malayalam films and would be interested in working with Fahadh Faasil.

For the uninitiated, Ayushmann was asked if he wanted to work in any regional cinema while speaking at Agenda Aaj Tak. The multi-talented actor quickly replied, "Bilkul (definitely)". He went on to say, “I am more attracted to South Indian cinema. Sometimes it feels like I am a South Indian born in a North Indian family. I am a huge fan of Malayalam cinema and I would like to work with Fahadh Faasil. He is one of the greatest content creators in the country and he is very inspirational. So, I think that collaboration would be really superb.” Interestingly, the Vicky Donor star was also asked if he'd be interested in working on a Punjabi movie. However, Khurrana respectfully declined it and stated that he will prefer Malayalam films for the time being. The actor from Article 15 has already indicated a desire to work in the South Asian film industry, so this isn't the first time. Earlier, the actor had stated in an interview, “I think we have a lot to learn from down South. They know their audience, and there’s passionate professionalism there”. Regarding his work life, the 38-year-old actor most recently appeared in An Action Hero. The critically renowned actor Jaideep Ahlawat appeared in the Anirudh Iyer-directed movie. The movie, which was released on December 2 and had a terrible box office performance. This became his fourth straight failure after Doctor G, Anek, and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. He will next be seen in the sequel to his successful movie Dream Girl, which will be released the following year.
