The coronavirus pandemic has made the Indian film industry to come on a standstill. The film releases got postponed and the film shoots got haunted until the 31st of this month. Looking at the current scenario, the extension might extend until mid-April. All the films which got postponed this month, are looking forward to hitting the screens towards the end of April or in early May.
Not only the march releases but also the April first week releases got postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Some of the biggies which pushed their releases where Nani-Sudheer Babu's V, Rana Daggubati's Aranya, Anushka Shetty's Nishabdham and Panja Vaishnav Tej's Uppena. All these films are yet to announce their new release dates. Mostly, all of them might hit the theatres either in April end or early in May.
But there are already a few other big releases lined up for release in April end and entire may. If at all the theatres reopen by mid-April, we might witness some heavy clashes at the box office. The main problem will be the allocations of theatres for all these films. As all these films are big releases they need hundreds of theatres to get screened. We have to see how the producers and distributers manage to release the films in enough theatres avoiding big clashes. Meanwhile, this postponement will also affect the films which got lined up for the release in the latter half of this year. Anyways we have to wait until the coronavirus scare gets toned down and everything comes to a normal state.
