In an interview with Stardust, Pooja says that her father was the first to tell her about her relationship with Soni. "I was sound asleep. My father woke me up at half past midnight and said Pooja, I am in love with a woman and I am having an affair. You must be the first to know that. This was before my mother even knew. He is so open to me," says Pooja.
"Initially I was angry with my father for leaving my mother for another woman. I was also angry with Soni for taking my father away from us. I used to get angry just hearing their name. But it was my mother who made me think practically. Pooja also says that her mother told her not to hate her father and that he is a good man.
