Gopichand to play villain in Rajinikanth's upcoming movie - Here's the clarity on the speculation

Action hero Gopichand is currently busy working with Sampath Nandi for the second time. After Gautam Nanda, the duo is working again for an exciting film. Although Gautam Nanda did not do well at the box-office, the makers are now confident of scoring a big hit with the new film. Titled Seetimarr, the film also features Tamannaah as the leading lady. Both the hero and heroine play Kabaddi coaches in the film. Interestingly, there is a rumour on social media regarding the actor's next film. The buzz is that Gopichand plays the lead antagonist in Rajinikanth's next film Annathe, under Siva's direction. Gopichand recently confirmed that the news is false.

 

Siva is the director who worked with Gopichand on two projects. The actor and director share a close relationship with one another. Because of the same, the rumor surfaced online. But, the actor has now confirmed that the news is false. "When the news came out, a lot of friends from Chennai called me to check if it is true. Siva and I are close friends. The director always tells me that he is ready to do a film with me. I suggested him to continue making films in Tamil since he is getting offers from star heroes." said Gopichand who confirmed that he was not approached by the makers of Annaatthe.

 

After wrapping up Seetimarr, Gopichand will act in a movie Alivelumanga Venkataramana, directed by Teja. Gopichand did not sign any other movie as of now. Stay tuned to us for more details on the actor's lineup.
