Gautham Menon To Do His Next Directorial With Ram Pothineni In The Lead Role

Gautham Vasudev Menon has finalised his new movie while his current film, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, starring Silambarasan TR, released in to positive acclaim. In a recent interview, the filmmaker disclosed that Ram Pothineni would star in a new movie he would be helming the next year. Additionally, he said that for a long period, producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore was there to communicate between him and Ram.

Interestingly Ram was the first pick for the lead role in the Telugu remake of Gautham Menon's 2012 film Neethaane En Ponvasantham, titled Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu. Before Nani took his place, the actor had already even finished filming a few sequences with Samantha, who played the major role. This news has already generated a lot of interest, even though Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is releasing his brand-new, dramatic mafia drama VTK (also known as The Life of Muthu in Telugu) in Telugu. Gautham Menon, who is well known for his chic, contemporary thrillers, has attempted an intense action drama with Simbu. Even Ram has recently been successful in big-action roles. As a result, there is room for a lot of speculation about the type of movie that will be produced using these two elements together. Ram recently made his Tamil film debut with Lingusamy's The Warriorr, therefore this next endeavour is probably going to be bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. By the end of this month, shooting will begin on the upcoming Ram movie, #BoyapatiRaPo, which is being directed by Boyapati Srinu of Akhanda fame. The movie will be an all-Indian production.
