Gautham Karthik Starts Dubbing For NS Ponkumar Film ‘August 16, 1947.’

Gautham Karthik is ecstatic about his forthcoming period piece, August 16, 1947. The film is produced by AR Murugadoss and directed by his long-time assistant NS Ponkumar. The film is now under post-production, and a trailer for it was recently published. Gautham has now revealed photographs of himself dubbing for the film on his social media site.

In an earlier interview, the actor stated that the picture is near and dear to his heart due to the extensive preparation work that went into it. During the interview, he stated, "It is not based on historic events, more like a fantasy story that takes place during the freedom struggle. I was very intrigued by the story when he spoke about it in-depth. Pon's narration and the script made me imagine the story. Of course, it took a while to get the film on floors because of the pandemic. But once we began shooting, it felt nice to be part of his imagination."
