Kozhikode: Former minister and senior Congress leader, Aryadan Muhammad, passed away. He was 87 years old. He died in a private hospital in Kozhikode. Aryadan Muhammad was one of the Congress leaders and a former Minister of Power and Transport in the Kerala Legislative Assembly. He has held the leadership positions of various trade unions.

 
He was a great parliamentarian, orator, and reader. Aryadan Muhammad was born on May 15, 1935, as the second of the nine children of Aryadan Unneen and Kadiumma in Nilambur, Malappuram. Nilambur Govt. He was educated at Manavedan High School. At that time, he was the captain of the school football team. entered politics through trade union activity. In 1959, Vandur Farka was elected as the President of the Congress Committee. In 1960, he reached a high position in politics when he was elected as the DCC secretary of Kozhikode. Vandoor KPCC member since 1962When Malappuram District was formed in 1969, he became DCC President. From 1978 on, he became the secretary of the KPCC. But lost the first election. In 1965 and 1967, he ran for the Legislative Assembly from Nilambur. But he lost to k Kunjali. On July 28, 1969, Kunjali became a suspect in a murder case. Aryaadan was later acquitted by the High Court in the case. In 1977, he entered the Legislative Assembly from Nilambur in the post-Emergency elections.
 
He contested for the Lok Sabha from Ponnani and lost. When the A Group came to the left, he became a minister in the Left Front cabinet that year without becoming an MLA.
 
However, losing to TK Hamza in 1982 was a setback. Later, he represented Nilambur for a long time. He won every election from 1987 to 2011. He joined the Cabinet in 1995 and 2001. He implemented Unemployment Wages and the Agricultural Labor Pension during his tenure as Labor Minister. At present, he was undergoing treatment for a long time due to age-related diseases.
