Fatima Sana Sheikh says she was in a toxic relationship, adds 'When you're in it, it gets very difficult'

Fatima Sana Shaikh, who was last seen in the Netflix's anthology film Ajeeb Daaataans, talks about relationships in an interview. Her last character of Lipakshi in Ajeeb Daastaans was in a toxic relationship with her husband played by Jaideep Ahlawat. Talking about facing the same in her real life, Fatima said, "I've also been in toxic relationships. It is very difficult to say, 'haan hum ye kar lenge, wo kar lenge (I will do this, I will do that).' When you are in it, it's very difficult so I understand a lot of women go through that, especially when you're not working and you're financially dependent on your husband, it gets very difficult to get out of a bad marriage,"

Before Ajeeb Daastaans, Fatima played the character of Pinky in Ludo who's husband is involved with another girl and then later on commits a murder. "Main toh wo bilkul bhi nahi hu - pativrata ladki - mere saath koi aisi cheez kare toh do thappad marr du main (I am not a virtuous wife kind of a woman. If someone does this to me, I will slap him)," added Sheikh. Fatima has come a long way in the industry. She made her debut in Dangal in which she played the role of Geeta Phogat.
