Father's Day Special: Abhishek Bachchan And Amitabh Bachchan To Rishi Kapoor And Ranbir Kapoor To The Deols: Real to Reel Father-Son Duo

Bollywood families have taken their personal relationship to the silver screen several times. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are the perfect example. If couples are one relationship, father and sons are yet another. As we celebrate father's Day today, let's take a look at real life 6 father-son duos who appeared together on screen:

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan

The Bachchans are one of the most popular on-screen pairs. Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan have acted together not in one but in three films: Sarkar, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Bunty Aur Babli, Sarkar Raj and Pa. Looking back on Bunty Aur Babli, Aishwarya Rai danced it off with her  husband and father-in-law in the song Kajarare! The three also starred in the 2008 film Sarkar Raj. 

Dharmendra, and Sunny and Bobby Deol 

The Deols have now become somewhat of a staple in Bollywood. The trio first appeared on screen in Anil Sharma's 2007 film Apne. Thus began the Deol family magic. Since then they've appeared in 3 'Yamla' films together: Yamla Pagla Deewana, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. In 2017, Sunny and Bobby Deol starred in Shreyas Talpade's Poster Boys. While Dharmendra did not have a leading role, he did make a cameo appearance in the film. Dharmendra, and Sunny and Bobby Deol

Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor 

It's quite disheartening to know that Besharam is the only film that talented actors Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor Besharam will appear in. However, no one can take away the fun on-screen chemistry between Babli (Ranbir Kapoor) and Inspector Chulbul Chautala 

(Rishi Kapoor).

Pankaj Kapur and Shahid Kapoor 

Pankaj Kapur and Shahid Kapoor first shared the silver screen in their 2015 film Shaandaar. However, it was not the first time that the father-son dup had worked together. Pankaj Kapur directed the Shahid Kapoor starrer Mausam. The 2011 rom-com also starred Sonam Kapoor. The father-son duo will share screen space in their upcoming film Jersey.

Aditya Pancholi and Sooraj Pancholi 

Aditya Pancholi got the chance to play reel father to his real son Sooraj Pancholi in the film Hero. While the film opened with mixed reviews, the Pancholis received praise for their on-screen chemistry.

Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt

Funnily, Sunil Dutt appeared in Sanjay Dutt's debut film, Rocky. However, the father-son duo did not share any screen time in the 1981 film. It was Rajkumar Hirani's Munna Bhai MBBS that brought them together for brief but memorable scenes as reel father and son.
