Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar are his children, and he is married to Shabana Azmi. Throughout his professional life, Javed has won numerous honours, including the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
Recently, Akhtar's new book, named "Jadunama," was published. The title of the book is derived from the screenwriter's nickname, Jadu. It is a collection of quotes and extracts from his most famous speeches.
