Farhan Akhtar On Indian Presence In Hollywood: We Are Seeing The Change And Will See More..

Farhan Akhtar recently welcomed the Russo Brothers at his home, along with his business partner Ritesh Sidhwani. The directors discussed their work, the western and Indian film industries' developments, and how streaming heavyweights have helped material spread throughout the world. Farhan, who just had his international acting debut with Ms. Marvel, also conversed of Indian performers going abroad. Actors throughout the nation have recently spoken out about the blending of the "north and south" film industry.

When asked in an exclusive interview with Indianexpress.com if he envisions a time when performers would even be able to swim across borders, he responded, "Honestly, you are experiencing the progress yourself. Ten or fifteen years ago, how many Indian performers or other individuals were working abroad? They were at your fingers for counting. That's already changed. Irrfan and Om Puri before him both serve as excellent examples. Priyanka is doing quite well, and Alia is now working on a Hollywood movie as well. Therefore, it is evolving, and I believe we should be quite grateful for the drive for diversity that is occurring in western storytelling. That is instantly important and plays a big part.

As he said, "And that's something I absolutely admired about Ms. Marvel," he mentioned his time spent working for Marvel. Its subject is a Muslim girl from Pakistan. Imagine working on a narrative with Marvel where something incredibly original and fresh is at the center. And taking part in it was exciting. "We are seeing the change happening and I am sure as time progresses we will see more cross pollination between the two movie making countries”.

According to Farhan's responses, the ambitious director is pleased with how Indians are portrayed in the west and how inclusion will enable cross-pollination of films, which in turn will produce a large audience base. The talented director is presently working on a screenplay for his upcoming project, Don 3, which is widely believed to be Don 3.
