Ekta Kapoor And Mother Shobha Step Down From Senior Management Roles In Alt Balaji

Ektaa Kapoor is a well-known personality in the industry, having guided her production company Balaji Telefilms to the helm of several major television serials. In 2017, Ekta cofounded Alt Balaji with her mother Shobha Kapoor to develop online series and original films. According to the most recent press release, Ektaa and Shobha are both leaving their posts at Alt Balaji. Many people were taken aback by the statement.

Alt Balaji posted a press release on the matter. It reads, "AltBalaji announced today that Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor have stepped down from their positions as the heads of the company. While the process of stepping down started last year, Alt Balaji now has a team to take over. This decision is a strategic one to focus on their ventures." Alt Balaji also announced that Vivek Koka would take over as the company’s new Chief Business Officer. "The company is pleased to announce that Vivek Koka has been appointed as the new Chief Business Officer of Alt Balaji. Under Mr. Koka's leadership, Alt Balaji aims to follow in their footsteps. And continue its strong track record of delivering high-quality, original content to its audiences." concluded the statement.
